Thermal Processing Specialist in Gloucestershire
Providing technical input to the development, planning and execution of client work.
Development and implementation of business strategies to stimulate and generate areas of consultancy, training and research in the thermal processing area.
Providing solutions to technical enquiries from clients and advising clients on technical aspects that have an impact on their commercial and business operations.
Leading and providing thermal process training courses and delivering presentations for external/internal events such as seminars and conferences.
Training and development of other colleagues and members of staff to ensure sound thermal processing consultancy to clients.
Interpretation of results and preparation of client reports.
Maintenance of thermal processing instrumentation and other process equipment.
Assisting with other generic business development activities within the department.
Qualifications & Experience
A graduate in a relevant food engineering or technology subject with several years demonstrable experience in the technical aspects of food processing.
A recognised and demonstrable range of experience in the thermal preservation area and extensive technical knowledge of the food industry.
Appreciation of the technical, operational and commercial needs of food manufacturers in the thermal processing area.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work within defined timescales and budgets.
Ability to work alone and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Demonstrable skills in developing and mentoring colleagues in thermal processing
