Temp Scientific Researcher in Berkshire

8 week contract

7.a.m start Monday to Friday 37.5 hours a week

Own Car useful due to start time, (unless you live within 2 miles).

The primary responsibility of the role will be to carry out laboratory based in-vitro testing of product prototypes, and collation and analysis of subsequent data to help characterise aspects of their technical performance.

In addition the role will involve other data generation, via both in-vitro and in-vivo human testing, as well as general lab duties on an ad hoc basis.

Specific skills required:

No specific skills are required (Full training will be provided) however previous experience in lab work and statistical analysis techniques would be would be beneficial. In addition, given that a potential part of the role will involve working with test panellists, good interpersonal skills and a professional manner are essential.

The successful candidate must be comfortable taking measurements from human subjects, specifically in the leg and underarm areas.

Specific qualifications required:

Degree level education (2:2 or higher), particularly in Life Sciences / biosciences if possible (otherwise any scientific discipline would suffice).

Hours of work: 7.5 - 8 hour day, typically with a flexible start time between 7-9am and flexible finish time between 3-5pm. In the event the candidate is required for panel testing a mandatory 7am start time will be required. On such occasions typical finishing time will be at 3pm.
