Quality Assurance Manager - Oil & Gas Construction in Norfolk

PURPOSE OF JOB: To develop and maintain Company’s Quality Management System

RESPONSIBILITY: Maintain Company’s QA system and application thereof.

SUPERVISORY DUTIES: To oversee Quality Assurance Department

MAIN DUTIES:

Development and maintenance of the QA Management system to include approval conditions for required API Licence/s and ISO 9001 Registration.

Auditing the Company’s QA system for conformance with requirements.

Resolve any non-conformances and ensure effective action is taken to comply by all departments.

Compose company procedures including fabrication/piping bias.

Complete all QMS transitions (ISO 9001-2008 to 2015) and support FPAL, JQS and OPITO accreditations and memberships.

Management of Risks & Opportunities, maintain register ensuring actions are completed on-time. Complete Risk Assessments for each department.

Analysis QMS performance and incorporate associated quality objectives ensuring the SMARTER approach is achieved (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Time-bound, Evaluated, Reportable).

Preparation of full integrated On/Offshore Quality Plans, Bridging Documents and ITP’s.

Carry out audits/assessments of suppliers and sub-contractors, Maintenance of assessment records.

Develop Company improvement plans, procedures and forms.

Develop PED Documentation in-line with new legislation.

Review all and endorse all Project QC Data Dossiers

PERSON SPECIFICATION MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: At least ten years in Quality Management preferably within the Construction Sector of the Oil and Gas industry, and must be familiar with all aspects of fabrication processes. Possess a full understanding of Engineering, Procurement and Construction projects (EPC).

ELEMENTS OF COMPETENCE: Comprehensive understanding of the controlling codes/regulations i.e. ISO9000 series quality standards, Fabrication codes of practices. I.e. EMMUA 158/197.
