Laboratory Technician - Chemistry in Suffolk
Conduct a variety of analytical tests on malt samples to ensure compliance to specification.
Assist with internal R&D projects.
Routine maintenance of lab equipment where required.
Daily checks on the equipment.
Maintain quality and compliance records.
Inform the lab manager whenever the results are out of specification.
Adhere to safety procedures and consults with laboratory manager about issues.
Ensure the highest standard of cleanliness in the lab.
Skills and Experience
To perform this role the person needs to be reliable and conscientious with the ability to work under direction as part of the team as well as independently. The laboratory work requires an attention to detail and the ability to perform tasks reproducibly in a timely fashion. Good communication skills as well as confidence are essential as there will be a requirement to liaise with other on-site teams as well as external suppliers.
Qualifications/Other essential requirements
Scientific/Technical qualification such as Degree, HNC/HND or equivalent.
Candidates will G.C.S.E.’s or A-levels with a strong interest in Chemistry and eager to learn will also be considered as full training will be provided.
A full clean driving licence.
