Laboratory Technician in Suffolk

The laboratory work requires an attention to detail and the ability to perform tasks reproducibly in a timely fashion. Good communication skills as well as confidence are essential as there will be a requirement to liaise with other on-site teams as well as external suppliers.


Testing of samples with Wet Chemistry, some HPLC and GC.
Conduct a variety of analytical tests on  samples to ensure compliance to specification.
Assist with internal R&D projects.
Routine maintenance of lab equipment where required.
Daily checks on the equipment.
Maintain quality and compliance records.
Inform the lab manager whenever the results are out of specification.
Adhere to safety procedures and consults with laboratory manager about issues.
Ensure the highest standard of cleanliness in the lab.


Either living in Bury St. Edmunds or lives nearby (MUST have car if not living in Bury St. Edmunds)
Experience of working within a lab and understanding of Good Laboratory Practice (GLP).
Quality control experience within the grain, food or drink industry is desirable but not essential.
Production environment experience, awareness of Health and Safety, routine maintenance capability on laboratory equipment;
Computer literate and especially competent in the use of word and excel.
