Food Safety Management Systems Lead in Gloucestershire
To lead a team focussed on supporting Clients to achieve best practice in food safety through the design, development and application research, consultancy and training projects.
Lead the team undertaking a mix of, research, consultancy and training projects across a broad spectrum of Food Safety Management topics.
Design, deliver and promote the Food Safety Management Systems and Hygienic engineering and practice related services offered by the team.
Where appropriate interpret scientific results from project trials preparing reports and communicating results in line with the client and company expectations.
Development and implementation of business development strategies leading to the preparation of proposals to clients that results in contracts, training and research in the Food Safety Management area.
Coordination of the Training products offered by the FMT team across the Department, interfacing with the Training Department to agree resources and priorities.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
Degree qualified in a relevant subject
Experience in food manufacturing to give the appropriate level of credibility to operate in this broad and strategic role.
Effective project management skills from recent experience.
Trained to an advanced level in auditing and food safety management. Evidence of training capability through a “Train the Trainers” course or similar.
Good verbal and communication skills to develop new business
Skilled at developing new ideas and bringing them to fruition in a friendly but challenging environment.
Full UK/EU driving licence and be eligible to work and travel freely within the EU.
