Field Service Sales Specialist – Laboratory Equipment

Our client is a leader in the provision of laboratory equipment to the life sciences sector, including balances, liquid handling, centrifuges and water systems. They have a position available suitable for someone with both field service and technical sales experience gained in the laboratory equipment market.


Prepare and implement an operational plan for the sales of new Service contracts, Service contract renewals and Service related products, within the laboratory market in the UK and Ireland.

Identify and target selected accounts throughout the UK, Ireland and North Europe, taking responsibility for introducing the company as a Laboratory Service provider. Focus on larger sites with multiple product opportunities.

Get personally involved with all prospects, leads and opportunities for new Laboratory Service opportunities in conjunction with the direct sales teams.

Ensuring retention of existing contracts, in particular Key Accounts by working closely with Internal Service Sales and the Contract Renewals team.

Accompany field service engineers to customer sites in order to understand the business and learn where the company can improve their product offering and create a USP.

Work with the Marketing team to devise a marketing plan that complements the planned strategy.


Qualified in Science, ideally with Electronics or Engineering background.

Experience working in sales of laboratory equipment, consumables or service required.

Experience working as a Field Service Engineer with laboratory equipment an advantage but not essential.

Strong knowledge of a range of laboratory equipment including balances, centrifuges, pipettes and water systems.

Full clean driving licence.

Lives on mainland UK with good access to the main motorway network.

Happy to travel extensively.
