Development Analyst - Forensic Toxicology in London area

Development Analyst – Forensic Toxicology

Our client is looking for an Analytical Chemist with experience of GC-MS, GC-QQQ, HPLC and/or LC-MS techniques with instrument maintenance and troubleshooting. Some method development, validation and peer review experience is also ideal.

Role:

Analysis of samples using GC-FID, GC-MS, GC-QQQ, LC and LC-MS.

Processing and peer review of analytical data to quality standards including GLP and ISO17025.

Routine maintenance and troubleshooting of analytical instrumentation. 

Carry out small method improvement and development projects.

Carry out method validation studies.

Training of more junior Analysts as required.

Candidate:

Degree in Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry or related subject.

3-5 years of experience in Toxicology or Forensic Analysis. May also consider candidates from Pharmaceutical, Bioanalysis and Environmental testing backgrounds.

Previous experience in sample preparation techniques such as Liquid / Liquid and Solid Phase Extraction.

Previous experience in GC-MS and / or LC-MS and use of relevant software such as Chemstation or Masshunter.

Instrument maintenance and troubleshooting experience.

Some basic method development and validation experience.

 

Security Clearance - minimum 3 years continuous residency in the UK as this role requires security clearance.
