Application Specialist - Bioprocess Fluid Management in Europe

Our client is a market leader in the provision of bioprocess solutions technology to the biopharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors.

They are seeking an Applications Specialist to provide technical consulting expertise to customers in the area of Fluid Management Systems and support implementation of the company’s products in customer processes.

This is a home office / field based role covering northern Europe (UK, Ireland and Nordic countries), so will involve extensive travel (60%) to visit customers throughout this region.

Perform trials, demonstrations and process reviews at customer sites; collect and analyse data, present results in a report and presentation format in a timely manner, follow up of projects till technical closure.
Supports sales teams lead qualification, quotation and project execution.
Troubleshoot customer problems and resolve customer complaints on site in a satisfactory manner.
Identify areas for customer process improvement and uncover optimization and sales opportunities.
Provide validation support as necessary to implement Fluid Management Technologies into processes.
Technical training of customers and sales team.


Life Sciences graduate with background in Biotechnology.

Good understanding of biopharmaceutical manufacturing processes and applications in a GMP environment supported by excellent product know how and knowledge on regulatory requirements.

Clear understanding of Fluid Management strategy and key topics in this area.

Knowledge of single-use technology and its applications in bioprocessing.

Strong analytical skills and structured way of working, highly motivated and organised.

Strong customer orientation, able to build contact with others and networking skills.

Demonstrates ability to present data & results in front of customers.

Strong communication, technical writing, training and presentation skills

Proficient in conducting trials at customer sites.

Excellent working knowledge of English plus other European languages an advantage.
Proficient in MS Office package including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
A flexible and “can-do” attitude.
Product and application expertise with an understanding of the company’s positions and programs.
Ability to work through and not be phased by problems and failures to ultimately achieve success with a high level of quality and service orientation.

£35,000 to £50,000
£30 to 35k + 15% bonus
