Sales Account Manager – Lubricants and Coatings

Office and Field based

Our client is a global market leader in the formulation of a specialist range of Coatings, Encapsulation Compounds, Thermal Management Solutions, Contact Lubricants, Electronic Cleaning Products and Maintenance and Service Aids for use in the Electronics, LED, automotive and industrial manufacturing sectors. With a growing presence in over 55 countries they are now seeking an Account Manager to manage key accounts and distributors in the Far East and USA.

This is an office and field based role, with frequent international travel required, and you will spend up to 60 days a year abroad visiting clients.


Source and appoint new distributors for the territories. Liaise closely with the distributors so that agreed growth can be achieved.

Provide training to the distributors’ sales staff so that they are able to successfully promote the company’s product range.

Attend joint customer visits with distributors.

Identify new areas of opportunities based on the worldwide market and gain new business at direct accounts, providing support for these customers to ensure satisfaction.

Attend key trade exhibitions, either in conjunction with distributors or directly representing the company.

Work with the marketing manager to ensure that the company brand is promoted effectively in all key markets.


Graduate in Chemistry, Materials Science, Engineering, Electronics or related technical subject.

Around 2 years of relevant technical sales experience.

Experience working with both direct customers and distributors an advantage.

Knowledge of, or keen to work in Export Sales.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Confident face-to-face communicator.

Driving Licence.

Happy to travel abroad as required.
